The Member of Parliament for North Tongu Sam Okudzeto Ablakwa has faced criticism from Apostle Prof. Opoku Onyinah, the chairman of the board of trustees for the cathedral for his allegations of corruption in the building of the National Cathedral of Ghana.
Former Church of Pentecost chairman Prof. Onyinah stated that he and the other clergy are still involved in the initiative since there is nothing wrong with it.
“The claims being made by people are not true. Because none of the trustees has observed any corruption in the project… We now have a reputable auditing company, Deloitte, looking into our records to see if there is any wrongdoing”

“We are pushing people to follow the laws if something is going wrong because there are laws in this country. Therefore, if someone has actually embezzled funds intended for the project, they will be apprehended and punished” he added.
When asked about the accusations made by the MP, he responded, “If anything is actually going on, you don’t just publicize them to become popular, you address them using legal methods.”
The National Cathedral of Ghana will represent Christianity in Africa once it is finished, according to the religious leaders.
