So many people complain and find themselves stagnant in most of life’s pursuits. This feeling of stagnation is usually a result of a lack of appreciation. The Psalmist said in the 67th chapter, let the people praise thee, then the earth shall yield forth its increase. Psalm 67:5-7 May the peoples praise You, GOD; may all the peoples praise You. The land yields its harvest; GOD, our GOD, blesses us. May GOD bless us still, so that all the ends of the earth will fear Him. All depreciation begins when appreciation is absent.

The prophet Habakkuk intimated that though the fig tree will not blossom, and the stalls be empty, yet will we praise, and then my feet will be set in high places. Habakkuk 3:17-19 Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails, and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will be joyful in GOD my Savior. The Sovereign LORD is my strength; He makes my feet like the feet of a deer; He enables me to tread on the heights.

Israel received the bread from heaven and called it manna, a quite derogatory name, their lack of appreciation made them call what GOD called bread from heaven, what is this? Because of this for close to 40 years their diet never changed. One’s lack of appreciation keeps one in the same state for years. Psalms 103:2 Praise the LORD, my soul, and forget not all His benefits.

Celebrate your present blessings and experience increment on all sides. Give thanks to GOD for all He has done and who He is to you. Every attitude of complaining and murmuring that has accelerated your depreciation be repaired. By the SPIRIT of CHRIST speak of the wonderful works of the LORD. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is GOD’s will for you in CHRIST JESUS.

Appreciate the LORD for His Son and thank JESUS CHRIST for His death and resurrection this easter. CHRIST’s death and resurrection give us great blessings. As we celebrate and remember His death and resurrection let us appreciate what the season gave us and brought into our lives as believers. Philippians 4:6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to GOD. AMEN!!!
