In response to the racial abuse Vinicius Junior received on Sunday against Valencia, Real Madrid has begun legal action.
After receiving racial abuse from supporters, Vinicius has been the subject of ten formal complaints this season.
After the game, manager Carlo Ancelotti was upset and wouldn’t discuss it, but Vinicius himself took to social media to accuse Spain of being racist.
After the incident, it was also claimed that Vinicius’ advisers were unconvinced that Real Madrid or La Liga were doing enough to stop the abuse he had been experiencing. These attempts seem to be intensifying on the part of the former.
This afternoon, Los Blancos issued a statement announcing the beginning of legal action. They have officially complained to the Public Prosecutor, requesting that the situation be looked into.
They specifically did this in cooperation with the department against hate crimes and discrimination due to the suspicion of a hate crime.
Real Madrid has not yet issued club remarks in support of Vinicius; instead, they have chosen to take this first step and leave the matter in the hands of the law enforcement.
The Real Madrid team and coaching staff have a sense that the situation is about to blow up.
Great one
