Prior to their presidential primaries in November, the New Patriotic Party gathered approximately 958 delegates from across the country on Saturday to cast their votes for five candidates.
The ten candidates for president are Mr. Kennedy Agyapong, Mr. Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen, Mr. Joe Ghartey, Mr. Kwadwo Poku, and Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto, listed in the order that they appear on the ballot paper.
The remaining individuals are Mr. Kwabena Agyei Agyepong, Francis Addai Nimoh, Dr. Kofi Konadu Apraku, Mr. Boakye Kyeremanteng Agyarko, and Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia.

Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Assin Central MP Kennedy Agyapong, former Minister of Trade Alan Kyerematen, and former Ministerof Agriculture Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto were the first four who passed.
Francis Addai Nimo and Boakye Kyeremateng Ayarko are the two candidates who tied for fifth position, and the party is anticipated to organize a tie-breaker to assist in determining who will join the top four candidates before the November delegate conference.
